”This live set from The Palladium in New York City from New Year’s Eve 1979 is a unique piece of Ramones’ history, as a rare recording that includes numerous songs from the Road To Ruin album, and one that displays the band firing on all cylinders. The show was mixed live by Ed Stasium, and aired on WNEW-FM in New York, with the audio presented here sourced from Tommy Ramone’s original cassette of the console recording. This material from The Palladium has never been officially released prior to the Road To Ruin 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition.

Imperfections in the audio, in particular on track one, were on the original source tape. This was likely cause by an overload of the input signal to the recording equipment. All efforts were made to improve the audio fidelity, but at the same time keeping the integrity of the original recordings.”
