”So, to cut to the chase: just a few months after the Eye of the Universe album was recorded at Studio Pelto, Markus landed a gig at Tenho Restobar in upper Kallio. I had been at one of his gigs the previous summer and was kicking myself for not recording it, so this time I made sure we captured the show. The venue has its own in-house engineer and a solid setup, and the acoustics are surprisingly good for a club space.

With Markus onboard, we thought: hey, this could make a great live album. The band was on fire, performing several tracks from the EOTU sessions—but in a raw, more energetic, stripped-down form. No effects, no studio polishing—just that unplugged, in-the-moment feeling.

The original plan was to do a lathe-cut edition, since we’re really enjoying those lately. But the performance was simply too good to limit to 50 copies, so we decided on a factory-pressed run of 150 instead. That said, all the DIY aesthetics are fully intact in the packaging: reused sleeves, reused inner jackets with print (including one-sided hole punches they don’t even make anymore), and hand-stamped labels using a lino cut by Gilles Lostalé.” – Jazzaggression Records
